The Old Ones Featuring: Cooper

The Old Ones is a collection of live performances I shot in the nightclubs around Minneapolis and Saint Paul from 1993-2001.  The shows have been broken down into one song segments with no particular order for a quick and easy view. The master tapes have traveled great distances so embrace the quality and charm. I will attempt to give some information and will welcome all relevant comments.

I had never seen my co-worker Lance's band Cooper until I was shooting Hot Karl in the 7th Street Entry and Cooper was the headlining act. I was quite surprised at how much energy they had. I don't know what became of them but I think Lance broke his leg and that might have something to do with their end. You will have to wait for the Hot Karl footage as I am developing a full documentary about them.

I know that the Retardos and Backyard Babies were on this bill. Did I forget anyone? If anyone is in contact with Jonny from The Midnight Evils tell him I want my Backyard Babies copy back.

               Quincy Punx

I worked with two of Quincy Punx's bass players at First Ave. Blake is featured in this live performance. After watching him in the metal band (sic), I was interested in seeing him play some punk. This was the first time I saw Quincy Punx and was blown away at how raw they were. They are covering the Weirdos "We Got The Neutron Bomb".

 Janis Figure

One of three videos I found online that I shot at First Avenue in 2001. This one is the worst as far as compression goes. None the less, It still sounds great and is my favorite song of the three. That is why it landed here.
