Krapp’s Last Email Part 1

This story is inspired by the famous one act play, Krapp’s Last Tape, by Samuel Beckett. Thanks to Harris Levinson for introducing my High School English class to this singular work.

Once again, I have the pleasure of collaborating with photographer and graphic artist, Bill Draheim. In previous collaborations, and in the spirit of Chris Van Allburg’s The Mysteries of Harris BurdickMr. Draheim would provide me photographic works to which I would write short stories. This time, the process was reversed. I provided the story and he came up with artistic pieces to match its flow. We hope you enjoy our newest effort

The Old Ones Featuring: Cooper

The Old Ones is a collection of live performances I shot in the nightclubs around Minneapolis and Saint Paul from 1993-2001.  The shows have been broken down into one song segments with no particular order for a quick and easy view. The master tapes have traveled great distances so embrace the quality and charm. I will attempt to give some information and will welcome all relevant comments.

I had never seen my co-worker Lance's band Cooper until I was shooting Hot Karl in the 7th Street Entry and Cooper was the headlining act. I was quite surprised at how much energy they had. I don't know what became of them but I think Lance broke his leg and that might have something to do with their end. You will have to wait for the Hot Karl footage as I am developing a full documentary about them.
